Brag time!

Normal mealtime: Phin generally eats what you put in front of him, slow and steady. He even cleans out his bib if you're patient. Sure he rubs peanut butter in his hair and drops grapes to test gravity and see if the cats will eat them, but overall low maintenance. Micah needs to manipulate everything on his plate in some fashion other than actually consuming it, or before considering the fact that it may be edible. He sucks the butter/peanut butter/jelly off his bread and chucks it on the floor. He pokes his finger into peaches, and gleefully mashes strawberries in his fist. He flings his cheerios and smears peanut butter in his hair. If you manage to get a bite in his mouth he loves to stick out his tongue and let that bite ooze into his bib pocket. The only constant exception has been yogurt.

Last night's dinner, for whatever reason: I made a quick variation on fish and chips, for whatever reason. Naked sweet potato "chips" and breaded cod pieces, and just to round it out I did spinach wilted with garlic breadcrumbs- way less fancy than it sounds. Heat some oil in a skillet. Dump in some bread crumbs and garlic and salt and pepper, stir it around until bored. Dump in spinach and let wilt over low heat. Mix together. I figured Andrew and I would polish it off, but these boys COULD NOT GET ENOUGH. Micah freaked out when I got up to get more from the stove. They were begging for more before they finished the mouthful they currently had. What. Ate more spinach than sweet potatoes. What. a. fluke. But I'll take it!

Back again.

Sorry about that lapse- just busy these days.

We've discovered the boys really like the jogging stroller (and also that we want to stay in shape), and have been going out 2 or 3 times a week after dinner... just did 3 miles today (I think?).
Boys are getting pretty good at their puzzles.
We have at least one dance party a day- veggie tales or raffi, usually.
Sarah's been experimenting with stroller-less outings... I think it's time to get those monkey leash backpack things.
The horses are getting some good use- Rody the bouncing horse and the little Bullseye rocker
Bobby cars still a favorite- Micah still prefers turning his upside down and playing with the wheels
Soaking up as much outside time as we can, before it gets cold!
