Today Sarah arrives in the US, hooray! She starts with a few days of orientation in New York City, and will then take a train down to us Thursday evening.

This past weekend my dad came for a visit- we went to see his exhibit at the Smithsonian History Museum, and generally just relaxed and hung out. Very nice. Next weekend my friends Laura and Michael will be in town so we'll get to see them.

Lately we're trying more to get them to recognize the words that go with things/people.  I think they understand nose pretty well, and Phin ID'ed grandpa when I asked over the weekend, fun!

It's been a while since I've written anything, so here goes.

I was away at a conference last week, so Andrew and Susanne held down the fort. Seems like Micah got a minor version of Phin's mystery virus, then they both got a coughing/sneezing thing in my absence. Then Andrew got it, poor guy. But everyone's alive, much to my delight!

The boys are walking pretty much all the time now, and are becoming stair masters- one way only. They clap on command and are making more hand gestures. Also they finally got nodding down- before they could only shake their head. Not that they know what either one means...

We're looking forward to a holiday weekend with all four grandparents plus other family, woo hoo! Then we will work very hard on Susanne's bucket list and get ready for Sarah to arrive- how is it already July?
